As Executive Director at Illinois Legal Aid Online (ILAO), Teri oversees a team of 16 leaders who are experts in content strategy, software development, document automation, community engagement, volunteer management, fundraising and finance, as well as more than 100 volunteers. Teri fosters strategic partnerships with local and national leaders and groups, pursues innovations, and leads development of new and transformed products and services. Logging more than 3 million visitors in 2020, IllinoisLegalAid.org has been recognized as the best resource of its kind in the nation. The free site is available in English, Spanish, and Polish, and provides people with lawyers tools to understand and assert their legal rights. Teri has presented at over 20 conferences and workshops including the Legal Services Corporation Access to Justice Forum, LSC's Innovations in Technology Conference, the ABA / NLADA Equal Justice Conference, the Nonprofit Technology Conference (NTEN), NLADA Annual Conference, and the Edward V. Sparer Symposium at University of Pennsylvania Law School. A graduate of DePaul University College of Law & Northwestern University, Teri was awarded the Kimball R. Anderson and Karen Gatsis Anderson Public Interest Fellowship Award in 2009 from the Chicago Bar Association and The Chicago Bar Foundation. She has the unfortunate distinction of being the sole non-redhead in her family.
