Connie received her undergraduate degree in Social Work from St. Leo University and a Master’s in Social Work from Florida State University.
In 2005, Connie launched an 18 month court ordered addictions treatment program that facilitates 27 classes over 9 months followed by 9 months of intensive reentry. A 70% success vs. 32% for a completed jail sentence. In 2014, she opened The Family Center with the intent to eradicate poverty that too often opens the door to the criminal justice system. Education, vocational training, social services and mental health counseling offers a bright future. Connie is an Alumnus of Leadership Florida; Board Director of The Florida Bar Foundation; Chair of the FL Bar Standing Committee on Advertising and Founder of the Reentry Task Force of NWF. She recently won the Chief Judge Award of Service and the Studer Community Institute Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year.
