Paul Swiney is the Deputy Director of Operations for Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands, responsible for “all things technology” while also having oversight of Finance, Human Resources and Operations. Prior to his arrival in late 2015, Paul spent a 25-year career with global accounting firm KPMG, where he focused on internal IT support, systems deployment, project management and eDiscovery. Additionally, he has provided consulting services to Big Brother Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville. Customer service has been the underlying theme of his personal and professional life, with the principle intention of “helping people help people”. Paul likes to say he is bi-lingual, speaking both “business” and “technology”, and works to bridge the gap between the needs of the business and the technology tools used by people in performing their work.
