Laurel Heer Dale, Executive Director, began her career with Legal Aid of Nebraska in 2002 as a staff attorney. She later became a Supervising Attorney on the AccessLine, Legal Aid's centralized intake unit. In 2011, Laurel became the Director of Access, managing the firm's centralized hotlines. During this time, Laurel was responsible for designing and launching several new centralized hotlines, including Legal Aid’s Breast Cancer Legal Hotline, Disaster Relief Response Hotline, Autism Legal Hotline and the Nebraska Immigration Legal Assistance Hotline (NILAH). Laurel was also responsible for designing and implementing online intake, which occurred in 2012. In 2016, Laurel's position grew to include direct oversight of all of Legal Aid's client services and intake processes, including the expansion of centralized intake and community engagement. From 2018 - 2022, Laurel was the Director of the Volunteer Lawyers Project at the Nebraska State Bar Association.  Laurel received her Juris Doctor from Creighton University in 2000 and is licensed to practice law in Iowa and Nebraska. She is a member of the Nebraska Supreme Court Access to Justice Commission, Nebraska State Bar Association and the Omaha Bar Association.
