Greg began his career with Acadiana Legal Service Corporation as a paralegal. He left to attend law school, and after graduating, spent one year as a judicial clerk in Louisiana’s trial level state courts before returning to Acadiana Legal as a staff attorney, then manager of a branch office. He then served for 28 years as the leader of its Litigation Unit, trying cases in Louisiana’s state, federal and tribal courts. In 2016 he became Acadiana Legal’s Executive Director, where he now leads an 87 person firm with a service area of 75% of Louisiana. He began working with computers when LSC furnished each program with an IBM XT “clone” computer, wrote the firm’s first client database system, and led the automation of the firm’s legal practice and its ongoing conversion from a paper-based to a digital practice. Greg has served on boards of directors or in leadership positions with numerous local, regional, statewide, national, and international nonprofit corporations and volunteer organizations, such as Rotary International, Goodwill, and Boy Scouts.
