Using Technology to Mobilize Volunteers for Access to Justice

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In this workshop, attendees will learn how technology can be used to mobilize volunteers to close the Justice Gap. The Pro Bono Training Institute (an LSC PBIF-funded project of the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, Neighborhood Legal Services-Los Angeles, and OneJustice) will discuss their new volunteer opportunities tech feature and the new Language Access training modules. Panelists will discuss how they use their platform as a statewide training resource to connect trained pro bono attorneys to volunteer opportunities throughout the state. JustFix will recap the pilot of their “Digital Repair Program” and share key takeaways and lessons learned from their project. They will share how the pilot operations were structured, as well as successes and failures of the program. Session attendees will have the opportunity to brainstorm about ways their own programs can implement and use technology to connect with previously untapped volunteers.
