A2J Analytics: Using Data to Build Better Automated Forms

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

With frunding from a 2017 TIG grant, A2J Author added an exciting feature to all A2J Guided Interviews - ANALYTICS! A2J’s integration of Piwik, a customizable and open source tool, into the A2J Viewer provides insights into how people are using their interviews. With this tool on A2J’s servers, instead of Google’s, A2J protects user anonymity and ensures the highest security standards. Authors have a personalized dashboard on a2jauthor.org where they can view statistics. They can drill down and see interview specific information, such as the average time spent on a page, the number of times Learn More and pop ups were clicked, pages the user exited from, and the average time to complete an interview. This information will allow authors to build better automated forms by seeing where end users are spending more or less time than expected, where users are dropping out of interviews, and whether their “just-in-time” learning features are being used. In this session, we will demo the Analytics Dashboard, discuss implementation, and show authors how they can better optimize their forms.
