Attorneys kept asking, “Why isn’t there one place we can view all available pro bono cases?” In 2017, The Florida Bar Foundation developed, piloted, and launched Florida Pro Bono Matters (FPBM), a user-friendly, online tool that allows volunteers to search for available cases. Panelists will discuss the steps to the tech program’s successful launch including: the involvement of influential Pro Bono Ambassadors; the effective pre- and post-launch FPBM marketing campaign; and the best-practices “quick pitch” approach to individual case promotion. This session will help programs looking to launch a new pro bono innovation, which requires the commitment of champions, the ability to craft a compelling message, and a bit of salesmanship.
