Microsoft offers the Azure for Nonprofits program that provides $5,000 in annual credits to qualifying non-profits. Additionally, $2000 in annual credits for Amazon Web Services is available through Tech Soup after paying a small administration fee of $175. These donations allow organizations to adopt and implement cloud solutions for minimal-to-no additional cost. Depending on the services that you choose, these credits could cover the entire bill. In this presentation, panelists will detail on how they took advantage of the $5000 Azure credit to extend its on-premises infrastructure to the cloud and provide some real world scenarios on what workloads you could move to Azure for free. They will also share their experiences moving operational computing resources to the Amazon and Microsoft cloud. There will be a live demonstration of both Azure and AWS portals.
